Everything You Need to Know About Cincy Street Meet

You’ve seen the pictures. You’ve watched the videos. Now you’re thinking, “Okay... but how does Cincy Street Meet actually work?”

Here’s everything you need to know before you pull up.

WHO IS CINCY STREET MEET FOR?

Cincy Street Meet is an 18+ event open to creatives of all experience levels.
You don't have to be a professional, have a huge following, or know anybody before you come.

You’ll find:

• Photographers
• Models
• Videographers & cinematographers
• Makeup artists
• Stylists & designers
• Painters & visual artists
• Street performers
• Content creators
• Other artists and creatives
• People who simply want to experience the creativity and meet Cincinnati’s creative community

Beginner or professional, camera in hand or just coming to network, there’s room for you.

HOW DOES STREET MEET WORK?

Cincy Street Meet is an OPEN collaboration event.

There is no registration or master attendance list. There are no assigned photographers, models, or creative teams. You come, meet people, find creatives whose work or ideas interest you, and start creating.

See a photographer whose work you like? Introduce yourself.

See a model with a dope look? Ask if they want to create.

See somebody using a lighting setup you've never tried? Watch, ask questions, and learn.

Meet somebody you might want to work with later? Exchange information.

That's Street Meet.

You’re surrounded by creatives with different styles, equipment, techniques, personalities, perspectives, and experience levels. Take advantage of it.

DO I HAVE TO CREATE?

No.

Some people come specifically to shoot all day. Some come to model. Some create a little and spend the rest of the time networking. Others come simply to watch, meet people, learn, and enjoy everything happening around them.

If you're a photographer looking for new faces, a model looking for photographers and videographers, a business owner looking for creatives, or you're simply trying to expand your network, you can get value from Street Meet without creating a single piece of content.

The opportunity is being in the room... well, technically outside 😂... with that many creatives at one time.

COME CREATIVE

Street Meet is your opportunity to do something DIFFERENT.

Bring the outfit you thought might be too much. Bring the props. Bring the dramatic makeup, body paint, lighting, colored smoke, costume, character, or concept you've been waiting for an excuse to create.

If your look allows it, bring multiple options. There are different scenes, photographers, videographers, lighting styles, and creative opportunities happening throughout the event. One change of wardrobe can give you an entirely different set of content.

You don't have to spend a fortune or show up in an elaborate costume.

We just want you to think creatively and bring something to the table.

Give somebody walking by a reason to stop and say:

“YO... I want to create THAT.”

IS CONTENT GUARANTEED?

NO.

This is probably the most important thing to understand.

Street Meet is an open collaboration, not a photography session. Buying nothing, registering for nothing, or simply showing up does not entitle anyone to photos, videos, modeling, makeup, or another creator's services.

There are no assigned pairings.

You have to introduce yourself, approach people, network, and find people interested in creating with you.

If nobody has approached you yet, approach somebody yourself. Change locations. Meet new people. Switch your look. Start a conversation.

Participate. Don't wait to be discovered.

DO CREATIVES CHARGE?

Some do. Some don't.

A lot of creators come to Street Meet specifically to collaborate, experiment, build their portfolios, and meet new people. Others may charge for their time or services.

That decision belongs to the individual creative.

If money is involved, discuss it BEFORE you create together. Nobody should create content with someone and then surprise them with a charge afterward.

Ask. Communicate. Agree. Then create.

GET THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION!

If you remember ONE rule, make it this one:

EXCHANGE CONTACT INFORMATION WITH EVERYONE YOU CREATE WITH.

Instagram. Phone number. Business card. QR code. Whatever works.

Cincy Street Meet does not maintain a registration list or record of every person who attends. We cannot identify or track down someone you worked with afterward.

So please don't message us three days later with:

“Do you know the photographer who had on the blue shirt?”

There are 150+ people out there. 😂

If you want the content afterward, know who you created it with.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Come prepared for however YOU plan to experience Street Meet.

• Models: bring multiple looks when possible, accessories, makeup touch-up items, and anything needed for your concepts.

• Photographers & videographers: bring the gear you want to create with, plus batteries, memory cards, lighting, or modifiers you may need.

• Makeup artists, stylists, performers & other creatives: bring whatever helps showcase what YOU do.

• Everyone: bring a way to quickly exchange contact information.

And bring an open mind. You may arrive planning one thing and meet somebody who inspires something completely different.

THE BIGGEST RULE? PARTICIPATE.

Don't spend the entire event waiting for something to happen.

Make something happen.

Introduce yourself. Ask questions. Watch somebody work. Share something you know. Try a new lighting technique. Create with somebody outside your normal circle. Meet the person standing next to you.

Cincy Street Meet was built around the idea that creative communities become stronger when creatives actually connect.

So come ready to network.

Come ready to learn.

Come ready to create.

And COME READY TO PUSH THE BOUNDARIES.

Because the best thing you leave Street Meet with might not be a picture or a video.

It might be the person you met while creating it.
